Some things need no diagnosis, but practice, support and someone who listens. The therapists at MEDINO run their practices in the same building as the doctors – short distances when the two need to complement each other.

Alongside therapeutic support
Doctors also run their practices at MEDINO: general practice, pediatrics, gynecology, internal medicine and cardiology, urology, nuclear medicine and child and adolescent psychiatry. Assessment and therapy are therefore at one address – with the same opening hours and the same online booking.

Why MEDINO?

A medical centre for the whole family – in the middle of Vienna's 1st district, with medicine that takes its time.

Therapy and medicine in the same building

If a medical assessment makes sense, the way is short. And the other way round: what the doctor recommends, you can start here right away.

Clear about the cost

We tell you the fees in advance. For physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy you can submit part of the cost to your health insurer – we will tell you how.

Frequently asked questions

Good to know

Do I need a medical referral for physiotherapy?
Not for the treatment itself – you can book an appointment directly. For a contribution from your health insurer you usually need a medical prescription and an approval note. At the first appointment we will tell you what is needed in your case.
What is pelvic floor training, and who is it for?
Targeted training of the pelvic floor muscles – after birth, with stress incontinence, after urological procedures or as a preventive measure. Cleo Barrable guides it, supplemented by device-assisted training. More on the page Pelvic Floor Medical.
Are the therapists at MEDINO employed by MEDINO?
No. They are self-employed and run their own practices. Each of them bills independently. The treatment contract is concluded with the individual therapist, not with MEDINO.
Do you offer psychotherapy?
No. Clinical psychologists practise at MEDINO – that is something different from psychotherapy: clinical psychological diagnostics and treatment, without psychotherapeutic training under the Austrian Psychotherapy Act. For children and adolescents there is additionally the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. If you need psychotherapy, we will say so openly and help you with the search.
What is the difference between coaching and therapy?
Coaching and psychological support address topics you want to shape actively – stress at work, transitions, wanting a child. They do not replace treatment of a mental illness. If it becomes clear in conversation that more is needed, we will say so.
Can I see a midwife without being in your care?
Yes. Antenatal classes, counseling during pregnancy and postnatal support can be booked independently of where you are otherwise cared for.
Is Traditional Chinese Medicine a recognized method?
In Austria, acupuncture is recognized as a medical diploma of the Austrian Medical Chamber and is also used in conventional medicine for certain complaints – pain and nausea, for example. At MEDINO, TCM is understood as a complement, not as a replacement for medical treatment. What is realistically achievable is discussed in the first consultation.
How long does a session last?
Depending on the service between 30 and 60 minutes; the first consultation usually takes longer. The exact duration is stated at booking.
What does it cost, and do I get anything back?
We tell you the fees in advance by phone or by email to servus@medino.at. For physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy there is a contribution from the health insurer with a medical prescription. Counseling, coaching and yoga are self-pay services.
When are you open?
Monday from 9 am to 6 pm, Tuesday to Friday from 9 am to 8 pm, Saturday from 10 am to 3 pm. Sunday is closed. Therapy appointments fall within these hours and vary from person to person.

On public holidays we are often on call. Whether and for how long depends on which doctors are available – we usually announce it a week in advance here, on Google and by phone.
Are there courses?
Yes – first aid for adults and for children, PEKiP, antenatal classes, the fathers' course Papaland and yoga. Everything about it on the page Courses.
