About me
I have been a paediatric physiotherapist for more than 30 years, with a great deal of love and passion for this work.
It matters to me to always see the child as part of the family system, to strengthen parents and, where it helps, to raise awareness at school and kindergarten.
Supporting and encouraging motor development is my special field.
It starts with early infant competencies such as sucking, swallowing, digesting, breathing and sound sleep, and continues to the motor milestones of sitting, crawling and walking.
Motor development and psychological development are connected, so experiences such as moving house, separation, a stay in hospital or bullying can strongly influence how a child develops. Psychosomatic aspects have therefore always had an important place in my treatment and are included where they help.

Physiotherapy for toddlers up to the age of three
In paediatric physiotherapy the child and the child’s scope of movement are at the centre.
Therapy takes place through play and is adapted individually to the age and the needs of the child. In the first months we accompany sensorimotor development and support the milestones of movement: lying on the tummy, grasping, rolling, crawling, sitting, standing and walking.
With toddlers we also practise more complex sequences of movement such as climbing, swinging, sliding, jumping or balancing. Parents receive specific exercises and a training programme for home.
