About me
I firmly believe in the importance of seeing people as a whole and working holistically, especially when helping my clients learn, heal, and optimize how their bodies function.
I bring a diverse background to physiotherapy. I grew up in an international community in the north of Scotland, have travelled widely, and studied and lived in Glasgow, Berkeley (USA), and London. I hold a Master’s degree in Psychology with a focus on education, as well as a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy, where I specialised in the interdisciplinary treatment of chronic back pain. Between my studies, I also gained experience as a full-time dementia carer. This journey has shaped my holistic, compassionate approach to care, with both physical and emotional wellbeing at its heart.
During my time as a physiotherapist in London, I worked both at an internationally recognised multidisciplinary centre for chronic pain (INPUT Pain Management Centre) and at a leading NHS teaching hospital (Royal Free Hospital), known for its first-class care and specialised medical services. At the latter, I worked as a specialist physiotherapist in pelvic floor health – particularly during pregnancy and the postnatal period – as well as in outpatient physiotherapy, focusing on chronic and acute back and nerve pain.
After the birth of my first daughter in 2017, I moved to Vienna and expanded my specialisation in pelvic floor health through further training and experience in this field. I also work as a physiotherapist in German and with PelvicFMS to further support the optimal function of my clients’ pelvic floor and surrounding muscles.
I founded and lead the PonteMed Academy, an international circle of experts specialising in the field of functional magnetic stimulation. We continuously develop this innovative technology in the form of the PelvicFMS device and support those who use it in getting the most out of it. This is a varied role with a strong educational focus, including creating and leading pelvic floor workshops, managing the Academy team, organising conferences, answering questions, delivering training, and keeping up to date with the latest FMS research.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two daughters, playing the harp, and being out in nature.
