Sonja Boersma

My name is Sonja Boersma. After training as a seamstress and working as a nurse, I passed my midwifery exam in Berlin in 1995 – the fulfillment of a long-cherished childhood dream. Since then I have been able to attend thousands of births, support many pregnant women even in challenging situations, give birth to four wonderful children myself and unfortunately also experience two miscarriages.
Over the years – and not least through my own pregnancies and births – it has become increasingly clear to me how important it is to have an undisturbed connection to my own femininity during pregnancy and birth. The more easily, naturally and naturally you find access to your inner, inexhaustible source of energy, the more harmonious, relaxed and fulfilling pregnancy and birth can be for you. In this way, the transformation from woman to mother often succeeds in a gentle way, and the bond and the arrival in the new family system become a joyful experience – combined with continuous personal growth.
