The idea behind MEDINO

The idea for MEDINO came from my own experience of pregnancy. In my thirties, I knew that I really wanted to have a child, so I looked for a gynaecologist who could also assist me during the birth. My online research led me to a great specialist – but I had to wait almost a year for my first appointment, and she is now no longer accepting new patients.

During my pregnancy, I regularly went to the laboratory for blood tests, received several iron infusions and finally had a wonderful and, fortunately, complication-free birth in Döbling. But the time afterwards was like a fog for me: breastfeeding problems, a baby who hardly slept, chronic exhaustion and the feeling of being completely alone. My local paediatrician even made an incorrect diagnosis – with far-reaching consequences for us.
Ich hätte mir damals eine Anlaufstelle gewünscht, an der man alles unter einem Dach from fertility and gynaecology to laboratory tests, specialised paediatricians (each with their own areas of expertise) and psychological support when you don’t know what to do next. Services such as consultations with a midwife, a doula to accompany you during the postpartum period, or simply practical help in everyday life would have made all the difference to me.
This is exactly what MEDINO offers today: a health center for children, women and families that provides holistic medical care made possible. From the psyche – for example through Prof. Dr. Claudia Klier
who specializes in ADHD in children and women as well as postpartum depression – to our gynaecology team, which provides support at all stages of life: from obstetrics (the fabulous Dr. Moser), to endometriosis and fibroids (our greatDr. Buko-Harmandic), through to the menopause (the greatDr. Ali who also offers nutritional medicine).
The children are cared for from birth by our sensitive specialists Dr. Kalb and Dr. Czaba-Hnizdo adolescents feel at home with Dr. Neidhart-Schreil are in particularly good hands. I could write for hours about our services and explain everything we offer – but that would go beyond the scope of this article. I would therefore like to invite you to take a free Journey appointment where we will introduce you to our 1,000 m² competence center and show you all the possibilities – from PEKiP to yoga in all its facets – in all its facets.
Our goal is clear: to accompany women, children and families gently, without stress and with expertise through all life situations – we have succeeded in doing this with MEDINO.

We look forward to your visit,

Beatrice Tourou, Co-Founder MEDINO

The idea behind MEDINO

Medino was born out of a very personal experience: the desire for holistic support throughout pregnancy, birth and the often challenging period that follows. What I myself sorely missed, we now offer families – a place where everything comes together under one roof.

Our centre brings together experts from various disciplines:Unser Zentrum vereint Expert:innen aus unterschiedlichen Fachrichtungen:

Prof. Dr. Claudia Klier
provides support for ADHD and postpartum depression. As part of the gynaecology team, Dr. Moser provides support during pregnancy and birth, Dr. Buko-Harmandic
is there for endometriosis and fibroids, and Dr. Ali
looks after women going through the menopause and also offers nutritional medicine. For the little ones Dr. Kalb
and Dr. Czaba-Hnizdo with a great deal of empathy, while teenagers feel at home with Dr. Neidhart-Schreil in the best of hands.

But Medino is more than just medicine: we create a place where women, children and families are cared for gently and without stress – with midwife and doula services, courses ranging from PEKiP to yoga, and space for conversation and relief.

Our goal is clear: to support you in every situation with expertise, understanding and warmth. Welcome to Medino – your health centre for children, women and families.

We look forward to your visit,

Beatrice Tourou, Co-Founder MEDINO

The MEDINO Standard

Hygiene

A certified cleaning company ensures around the clock that everything meets the highest hygiene standards. Our ventilation and air conditioning systems are also equipped with HEPA filters.

Security

A separate patient entrance and waiting area ensures that infectious children are immediately directed to the designated surgery rooms. In this way, we keep the risk of infection as low as possible.

Accessibility

Both entrances are on the street side and easy to reach with a baby carriage. A baby carriage parking space provides for changing children into a MEDINO Maxi-Cosi. An internal elevator ensures easy movement.

Accessibility

MEDINO is centrally located in Auerspergstraße. Two parking garages are adjacent: the BUWOG garage and the Schmerlingplatz garage. An access road to the hospital entrance allows one parent to get out with the child while the other parks the car.
