Wir kümmern uns um die psychische Gesundheit von Kindern, Jugendlichen und Erwachsenen – mit einem erfahrenen Team aus Psychiatern, klinischen Psycholog:innen, Psychotherapeut:innen und psychosozialen Berater:innen.
Psychologische Diagnostik & Begleitung
Ob Entwicklungsdiagnostik im Tandem mit einer Ärztin und anschließende Testungen (z. B. Bayley Scales of Infant Development, K-ABC II) durch unsere klinische Psychologin, die Begleitung von ADHS durch unsere Psychiaterin oder eine postpartale Depression bei der Mutter – bei MEDINO finden Familien umfassende Unterstützung.
Unterstützung in allen Lebenslagen
Manchmal reicht ein Gespräch mit einer psychosozialen Beraterin, manchmal braucht es eine fundierte Diagnose durch eine Psychologin oder Psychiaterin. Auch wenn eine medikamentöse Therapie notwendig wird, stehen wir Patient:innen einfühlsam zur Seite.
Entwicklungsdiagnostik bei Frühgeborenen
Rund 7 % aller Geburten in Österreich sind Frühgeburten (vor der 37. SSW). Dank moderner Medizin haben sich die Überlebensraten deutlich verbessert – dennoch ist eine standardisierte Entwicklungsdiagnostik entscheidend.
Bei sehr kleinen Frühgeborenen, aber auch bei sogenannten late preterms, können später Auffälligkeiten auftreten:

Entwicklungsverzögerungen (Sprache, Motorik, Sozialverhalten)

Lernschwierigkeiten

Aufmerksamkeitsdefizite (ADHS)

Verhaltensprobleme
Deshalb wird für alle Frühgeborenen – speziell unter der 35. SSW – eine entwicklungsdiagnostische Nachbetreuung bis ins 6. Lebensjahr empfohlen (z. B. mit Bayley Scales oder Kaufman-ABC-Test).
Psychologische Betreuung für Frühgeborene bei MEDINO
Da Kliniken oft nur sehr kleine Frühgeborene nachbetreuen können, bietet MEDINO eine fundierte entwicklungspsychologische Diagnostik bis ins Vorschulalter. So stellen wir sicher, dass Ihr Kind bestmöglich gefördert wird – medizinisch und psychologisch.

Whether developmental diagnostics in tandem with a doctor and subsequent testing (e.g. B. Bayley Scales of Infant Development, K-ABC II) by our clinical psychologist, support for ADHD by our psychiatrist or postpartum depression in the mother – at MEDINO families find comprehensive support.
Support in all life situations
Sometimes a conversation with a psychosocial counselor is enough, sometimes a well-founded diagnosis by a psychologist or psychiatrist is needed. Even if drug therapy becomes necessary, we support patients with empathy.
Developmental diagnostics for premature babies
Around 7% of all births in Austria are premature births (before the 37th week of pregnancy). Thanks to modern medicine, survival rates have improved significantly – but standardized developmental diagnostics are still crucial.
In very small premature babies, but also in so-called late preterms, abnormalities can occur later:

Developmental delays (speech, motor skills, social behavior)

Learning difficulties

Attention deficit disorder (ADHD)

Behavioral problems
For this reason, developmental follow-up care is recommended for all premature babies – especially under the 35th week of pregnancy – until the age of 6 (e.g. e.g. with Bayley Scales or Kaufman ABC test).
