Dr. Lejla Buko-Harmandic

Ever since I was a child, I knew that I wanted to dedicate my career to women’s health. After my medical training, I was able to gain valuable experience in various renowned clinics and deepen my passion for gynecology and obstetrics.

In my work, I pay particular attention to women with fibroids and endometriosis, as these conditions often affect not only physical health, but also everyday life and general well-being. It is important to me to treat each patient individually, expertly and with understanding in order to find the best way to diagnose and treat them together.

Today I see myself as an all-rounder in gynecology: from sensitive support during desire to have children and pregnancy to care during childbirth and the treatment of all gynecological diseases. The opportunity to provide women with competent medical support and personal assistance at all stages of their lives makes my job unique and fulfilling for me.

From May I will be Specialist in gynecology and obstetrics at Vienna General Hospital active. The range of services here includes the complete conservative and surgical treatment of gynecological diseases, supplemented by innovative procedures such as the DaVinci surgical robot system and a focus on breast treatment.

• Certified gynecological ultrasonographer, International Ovarian Tumor Analysis (IOTA)
