Aufgrund ihrer Fröhlichkeit und gleichzeitig Ehrlichkeit habe ich schon bald gewusst, dass ich mit Kindern arbeiten möchte, ebenso stand schon früh mein Berufswunsch Ärztin fest, und so war bald klar, dass ich Kinderärztin werden möchte.

Während meines Studiums habe ich dann meine Liebe zur Neonatologie entdeckt und konnte während meiner Ausbildung an der Universitätsklinik für Kinder- und Jugendheilkunde sehr viel Erfahrung in der hochkomplexen Betreuung von v.a. sehr kleinen Frühgeborenen sowie kranken Neugeborenen sammeln, im weiteren Verlauf war ich viele Jahre im niedergelassenen Bereich Vertretungsärztin, und bin als Fachärztin auf die Neonatologie der Klinik Favoriten gekommen, wo ich seit 2021 die Neonatologische Intensivstation leite.

Mein spezielles Interesse gilt v.a. der neonatologischen Neurologie, ich habe viel Erfahrung sammeln können im neurologischen Monitoring von Früh- und Neugeborenen, sowie in der entwicklungsneurologischen Nachbetreuung von Frühgeborenen.

Ich habe gelernt, wie wichtig eine gute interdisziplinäre Zusammenarbeit mit anderen Berufsgruppen wie Psycholog*innen, Physiotherapeut*innen etc. ist, um den betroffenen Familien eine bestmögliche Betreuung bieten zu können, und kann auf ein breites berufliches Netzwerk zurückgreifen.

Die Geburt des eigenen Kindes ist der spannendste und gleichzeitig schönste Tag im eigenen Leben. Als Mama von zwei Kindern habe ich selbst erlebt, welche Ängste und Sorgen man in dieser Zeit hat und wie wichtig eine einfühlsame und kompetente Begleitung ist.

Ich kann meine langjährige fundierte Berufserfahrung um viel Verständnis und Einfühlungsvermögen ergänzen und freue mich sehr darauf, Ihre Kinder ein Stück auf ihrem Weg begleiten zu dürfen.
