About me

My enthusiasm for oncology and medical imaging was sparked early in my medical studies – as a radiation oncologist, I can combine both ideally in my practice as a doctor.

My main focus is radiotherapy for breast cancer and the treatment of metastases. Through many years at the Department of Radiation Oncology at the Vienna General Hospital (AKH Wien) and a broad professional network, I also have experience across the entire spectrum of modern cancer medicine.

Frequently asked questions

Can I have radiotherapy with Dr. Konrad?
No. At MEDINO, Dr. Konrad provides consultations, second opinions and follow-up care. The radiotherapy itself takes place in a department equipped for it.
When is a second opinion in radiation oncology useful?
Before radiotherapy begins, when several treatment options are being considered, or when you would like to put a recommendation you have already received into context.
Is a second opinion also useful once treatment has started?
A consultation can be useful then too – for example if side effects occur, your situation changes or you would like to put the further planning into context. What follows from it depends on the individual case.
Does Dr. Konrad also provide support in palliative situations?
Yes. Advice in palliative situations is part of his services, as are specialist psychosomatic care and specialist follow-up care.
What documents should I bring to the appointment?
Existing test results, histology, imaging and doctors’ letters. The more complete your documents, the more reliable the assessment.
Can I bring someone with me?
Usually yes. Please mention it when booking so that there is room in the consulting room.
Will I receive a written summary for my treating doctors?
On request, yes. Please mention it during the appointment so that it can be taken into account straight away.
How do I make an appointment?
Online via the booking page, by phone on +43 1 226 5567 or by email to servus@medino.at.
Where is MEDINO?
Auerspergstraße 6, 1010 Vienna. Details of the entrances and how to get here are on the Location & Directions page.
What does an appointment with Dr. Konrad cost?
In Austria, radiotherapy and radiation oncology services cannot be billed to the statutory health insurance funds. Billing is therefore private. Where applicable, you can submit the invoice to a private supplementary insurance.
